It's fitting that the historical 'Gautamiputra Satakarni' has been planned to be associated with historic towns/cities from the beginning. If it was launched in the historic capital city Amaravathi, its shoot was commenced in Hyderabad, the capital city of erstwhile, united AP for many decades and the current joint capital of AP and Telangana.

To invoke divine blessings, the audio will be released in the holy temple town of Tirupathi on Dec 16. Nara Chandrababu Naidu, the Hon'ble CM of AP, will be the chief guest at the event.

The marathon 'Sarva Matha Shatha Punya Kshetra Jaitra Yatra' by Balayya's fans, who are on a tour to do rituals at 100 holy sites across the country, is another endeavour that associates the film with historic sites.

At a run-time of 132 minutes, this was shot in 79 days.

Krish and team could complete the shoot at a break-neck speed in difficult locations across countries like Morocco, India (read Hyderabad and places in Madhya Pradesh) and Georgia.

It will hit the screens for Sankranthi.
