The buzz has it that actor Suriya is not interested in doing the project with Gautam Vasudev Menon and has returned the advance cheque he was offered for 'Dhruva Natchathiram', which is why the film is getting delayed. While that is the rumour doing the rounds in the industry, the director clearly denied this, and clarified the matter to Indiaglitz, on an interaction.

GVM said "There is no change in the casting for my next project. To be specific, Suriya is still in. The reason the film is getting delayed is because we are working again on the story and looking to alter it a little. The practicality of our new ideas and their implementation is taking time. I request the audience not to give into such pointless rumours." Sad that the rumour died a sudden death, as the director clarified his stance and Suriya's too.
