Spiritual exponent and author Garikapati Narasimha Rao on Thursday participated in a cultural event in Nampally, Hyderabad. He behaved rudely (as described by many) with Megastar Chiranjeevi, an incident that has triggered the actor's fans.

The news is that Garikapati is inclined to apologize to Chiru over the controversy. Bhavani Ravikumar, who is associated with the Chiranjeevi Yuvatha, a fans association, called up Garikapati to express displeasure on behalf of the 'Godfather' star's fans over his behaviour.

In a video clip that has surfaced on the Internet, we see Bhavani Ravikumar respectfully tell the Padma Shri recipient that he is highly regarded for his knowledge. "While we respect you a lot, we found your behaviour inappropriate. We would like to express our pain over the issue," he is heard telling Garikapati.

At this, Garikapati indicates that he will reach out to Chiru personally and probably tender an apology.

So far, the likes of Harish Shankar, Naga Babu, VN Aditya and several other Tollywood personalities have criticized Garikapati.
