Now whoever thought of the title 'Garam Masala' needs to be given the award for creativity. On one hand there was art house cinema by the name of 'Mirch Masala' in the early 80s while on this side of 21st century comes a complete 'masala' commercial entertainer 'Garam Masala' that is fourth in the series of non-stop laughatons by Priyadarshan after 'Hera Pheri', 'Hulchul' and 'Hungama' [we are ready to ignore 'Yeh Tera Ghar Ye Mera Ghar' here]. Movie also marks the renuion of Akshay Kumar and Priyan after a hilarious Hera Pheri while regular Paresh Rawal stars once again in a pivotal role along with John Abraham, who tries his hands at comedy. To complement the male power that threatens to dominate the proceedings come femme fatale in the shape of debutant trio of Daisy, Neetu and Nargis along with Priyan's now-regular Rimmi Sen [Hungama, Kyon Ki]. Sameer writes while Pritam, who was at the helm of affairs for recently released 'Chocolate', composes for Garam Masala and promises some funky 'jump-on-the-dance-floors' tunes.

1) Ada [Sonu Nigam]

If there was a formula for composing a HIT track then Pritam seems to have invented that. After a groovy 'Halka Halka' in 'Chocolate', he moves on to create some rollicking fun in 'Ada' that has the deadly duo of Akshay Kumar and John serenading girls in exotic locales. A song that has girls, more girls and even more girls, it has the duo checking out on each and every one of them without getting bored and crooning nice little things about their 'adas'. Sonu Nigam is IN the mood while rendering this song that has a lively pacy and funky rhythm to make it a hot favorite of the season. Fun continues with DJ Suketu's remix version that makes 'Ada' one immensely catchy and foot tapping track. Go for it!

2) Chori Chori [Sukhwinder Singh, Hema Sardesai, Labh Jajua (Punjabi MC)]

'Wow, what a rhythm!' is your first impression as soon as 'Chori Chori' begins. A 'Bhangra-pop' track that is enhanced to rise from above the ordinary due to Pritam's funky musical arrangements, it has Hema Sardesai crooning in her naughty trademark accent while Sukhwinder Singh sings along flawlessly. A little bit of pop effect thrown in along with some inviting chorus effect from the girls in the background and you have a recipe for a catchy time pass song ready. With Akshay-John in the movie, there are no doubts that the song would be presented well on the screen hence enhancing its overall feel.

In addition to this, there is also a version by Labh Jajua (Punjabi MC) that appears to be the original source for the song. It has an authentic appeal and has the singer making a great impression in a solo rendition. In fact on occasion of a celebration mood at home, this is the version that would be heard being played in full blast. After 'Ada', this is yet another track that makes you go for 'Garam Masala'!

3) Kiss Me Baby [Adnan Sami]

Sound of an electronic flute begins 'Kiss Me Baby' that is bound to go down extremely well with the masses. An item song on which a promotional music video is being filmed on the lead heroes, it has Adnan Sami in his complete elements. Yet another instance of rhythm taking over a song from all corners, it has in it to become popular in days to come. With everything about a girl compared to 'Garam Masala', it is non-stop fun with heavy beats that make you jump on the dance floor on the next available opportunity. Yet another track with HIT written all over it.

4) Falak Dekhun [Sonu Nigam, Udit Narayan, Lyrics: Mayur Puri]

Lyricist Mayur Puri and composer Pritam came together to give some nice songs in Chocolate. Now they come together for a single 'Falak Dekhun' that appears in two solos by Sonu Nigam and Udit Narayan respectively. There is a distinct inspiration from Viju Shah's
