Garam Masala leads by miles

As the reports start trickling in since the Diwali release came last Wednesday, one thing has started becoming clearer with every passing day. As expected, Garam Masala is clearly in the lead with very good collections during the days gone by.

Garam Masala took a good initial on the opening day and hasn't shown much drop as the days have progressed. In contrast 'Kyon Ki' has been the biggest disappointment with no great collections to boost in the opening shows as well. In fact at places there have been just 10-15 people in the first show, which is highly disappointing.

'Garam Masala' being the best amongst the three releases has further tilted the shift against 'Kyon Ki'. Having said that, being a Salman Khan starrer, one never knows if the movie may just about manage to pick up (one sincerely hopes so).

'Shaadi No. 1' is in the middle of the road when compared to other two because a David Dhawan tag managed to get the movie a decent audience for the first day. But post releases reports of the movie have ranged from average to poor with people feeling let down by the feeling of deja vu.

Sanjay Dutt's antics haven't exactly been lapped up by the cinegoers [something that Bhagnani-Dhawan would have hoped for]. The movie should still be able to break even, but chances of a success a la Mujhse Shaadi Karogi or Maine Pyaar Kyon Kiya are ruled out.
