Music director Ilaiyaraja has been facing the ire of press and media persons and unions representing press and media workers for his harsh reaction to an young reporter who asked him his views on the controversial Beep song of Silambarasan and Anirudh.
But the public and social media are divided on the matter. While many condemn the septuagenarian composer for his selection of words while replying to the question, however inappropriate it may be, a considerable section of people have been criticizing the reporter for posing an impertinent question to a senior most celebrity at an event organised to felicitate volunteers who selflessly involved in rain relief activities in Chennai.
Now actor, director, lyricist and music director Gangai Amaren has come in support of his elder brother Ilaiyaraja.
Gangai Amaren asked why no one from the press and media questioned Rajinikanth and T.Rajendhar about the Beep song. Anirudh is the relative of Rajini and Silamabarasan is the son of TR.
In a bid to defend his brother, Amaren said that the latter would not listen his own song so it was not right to ask his comments on beep song.
He also said that questions posed to legendary persons should not cross the limit.
