First thing first. Gang of Ghost is not b-town first ghost comedy. Mehmood's `Bhoot Bangla' starring the magnificent R.D. Burman came way back in 1965.. remember the song `Aao twist kare'.. well Satish Kaushik and Venus `Gang Of Ghost' the remake of the acclaimed Bengali movie ` Bhooter Bhabishyat' is interesting in its premise boosting of talented ensemble cast in various characters from various eras  ranging from a bucktoothed mill owner, A British Lord, a 50's cinebala, a Haryanvi rockstar, a spoilt metro teen, a fat Bengali, a massom 'gareeb' driver and a Punjabi soldier.
The first 10 - 15 minutes are indeed funny, novel and well crafted when Sharman Joshi as a struggling writer introduces them to a young filmmaker who is scouting for a an ancient mansion for his film promising a roller coster combo of digs and gags ranging from cheap publicity stunts for Ragini MMS to RGV's weird camera angles a parody a spoof is in store but what a bore the makers seemed to have stopped worrying about the quality of their work from that point on.
Thus making `Gang of Ghosts' a forgettable attempt that ironically laughs on its own weird silliness that never ends.
Satish Kaushik is known for adapting regional movies for his bollywood innings in the past. And we all know how much he has scored as a maker. This time he thinks different but does the same. Thinks of a horror com genre starts well then allows his addiction to loud b-town comedies hijacks the proceedings.
The movie suddenly changes genre and becomes a loud stage act of b-town buffoonery which just goes on and on.. relying on those parody of b-town songs for gags that fall flat and doesn,t work.
Why he doesn,t exploited the props like spookbook (facebook of ghost), their interview, sad(vat) 69 whiskey bottles, introduced well in the film is a mystery.
To make matter worse the turning point of the story line where Ghosts are scared of the real estate revolution and can do anything to save their mansion is unconvincing.
Anyways Anupam Kher, Saurab Shukla, Mahie Gill, and Jackie Shroff seem to have a blast while doing this but afsoos there is no seriousness from the writer and the director to make those jokes work for us.
Making us laugh at their spirited attempt to test how long it can bore..
Gang Of Ghosts : is for those wannabes who can take it as a case study on how to spoil a comedy
