'Gang Leader' nosedives: What went wrong with content?

Early box-office reports say that the collections made by 'Gang Leader' on Monday dropped to the tune of 65 percent vis-a-vis Sunday. This shows that the Nani-starrer is facing headwinds at the BO.
Released to a not-so-encouraging public talk last Friday, the crime-comedy comes with an underdeveloped screenplay. The storyline is solid but the expansion of the story throws up flaws. The audience had expected director Vikram Kumar to show novelty in executing the bank robbery element and how Nani's character unravels the clues. Not only is there no novelty here but the telling is quite simple-minded.
The climax should have been way too stronger. The dishum-dishum routine has backfired.
The love story is soulless, with Nani's character behaving insensitively.
The film, produced by Mythri Movie Makers, needs to do a lot of catching up to attain a break-even status.
