U Kodathara Ullikki Padathara, starring Balakrishna and Manoj, has been made at a big budget. A good chunk of the budget went for erecting the Gandharva Mahal set in which many crucial scenes involving the lead cast were shot. "Many wondered why we spent so much on the set, but, in fact, there is an intimate relationship between the characters and the Mahal. Some industry biggies who have been to the sets congratulated me," Lakshmi, the producer said.

Speaking at the event marked to release the logo, Mohan Babu gave a pat on the back of Balayya. "He worked rigorously for the film," he said. He was initially sceptical about director Sekhar Raja's capabilities. "After watching the rushes, I am awe-struck. This film will be a big hit for both Manoj and Lakshmi," a happy father said.

Dasari gave a thumbs up to Balayya for doing the role. On his part, Balayya said that the film has come out very well. "The title did not settle quickly for me. Once I was on the job, my enthusiasm levels only increased. Sekhar Raja's story-telling and filmmaking are both good," the Yuva Ratna said.
