The senior IPS official DYSP MK Ganapathi suicide alleging the trouble and torture from high clout politician KJ George was investigated in the state and cleared the politician of the charges made.
The father of suicide DYSP MK Kushalappa and brother Machayya filed a case in the Supreme Court on CBI inquiry in to this case. The Karnataka High Court rejected the plea on Ganapathi case.
On Tuesday after hearing the petition justice Adarsh Kumar Goel and Justice Uday Lalith of Supreme Court ordered for CBI inquiry in to the case of suicide of Ganapathi.
When the government inquiry in the department was on Urban Development Minister KJ George resigned his position. He is again a minister in Siddaramaiah cabinet need to resign with CBI inquiry.
The Supreme Court has asked for three months time for investigation in to the suicide of DYSP Gapanathi.
MK Ganapathi committed suicide in last year July 7 at Madikeri Vinayaka Lodge. In his letter before death he has clearly mentioned the then home minister KJ George name besides IGP Pranav Mohanti and ADGP AM Prasad for reason of suicide.
The suicide note created ripples and CID inquiry was held. In the B report CID submitted, all the three names were exonerated.
