Games of Thrones actors Kit Harington and Rose Leslie, who played the roles of Jon Snow and Ygritte, respectively, have been blessed with their first child, a baby boy.

The news of their firstborn son's arrival was confirmed on Tuesday by Kit Harington's publicist Marianna Shafran, who mentioned that both the actors are "very very happy" after the birth of their first child together. Rose Leslie's pregnancy was revealed in a photo taken for UK's Make Magazine in September last year. Sharing a black and white picture of Rose Leslie showing off her baby bump, the magazine's fashion editor Ursula Lake had written, "So wonderful working with the beautiful Rose Leslie for the cover story of @make_magazineuk out now! A very special all woman team photographic shoot capturing Rose at this wonderful time as she prepares for motherhood for the first time!" Speaking about her photoshoot for the UK magazine, Rose Leslie had reportedly said, "What a glorious thing to be able to run to the countryside and recoup. It's a great privilege to be surrounded by greenery, birdsong and hedgerows, and our delightful neighbors. It's so peaceful."

Kit Harington and Rose Leslie began dating after they met on the sets of Game of Thrones in 2012. While Kit Harington played the role of Jon Snow, who was one of the main characters of the show, Rose Leslie played his love interest, Ygritte, for a brief period of time. The couple got married in June 2018 in Scotland's Aberdeenshire following their engagement in September 2017.
