In her recent chat with BBC Sunday Morning, Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke opened up about suffering through two terrifying aneurysms in 2011 and 2013 while filming her super hit HBO series
In a recent interview, Emilia Clarke gave quite some shocking revelations about her surviving two brain aneurysms while filming for GoT. For the unversed Brain Aneurysms is a weakness in a blood vessel in the brain that balloons and fills with blood. It can cause bleeding in the brain when they explode.
She said, You gain a lot of perspectives. The amount of my brain that is no longer usable - it’s remarkable that I am able to speak, sometimes articulately, and live my life completely normally with absolutely no repercussions. I am in the really, really, really small minority of people that can survive that. The actor further explained her condition, There’s quite a bit missing, which always makes me laugh. Because strokes, basically, as soon as any part of your brain doesn’t get blood for a second, it’s gone. And so the blood finds a different route to get around but then whatever bit it’s missing is therefore gone.
In 2019, the Game of Thrones actor even created a charity for brain injury and stroke victims called SameYou. On the work front, Emilia will soon be seen in Disney Plus’ upcoming series Secret Invasion. She also has sci-fi comedy The Pod Generation along with Chiwetel Ejiofor in her kitty.
