Former Indian cricket team opening batsman and politician Gautam Gambhir has made a shocking statement in connection to being accused in the spreading of a defaming pamphlet. Gambhir has been fielded as BJP candidate in East Delhi constituency.

Against him, the Aam Aadmi party has fielded Atishi and Congress has selected Aravind Singh as its candidate. In such a situation, Atishi had made an accusation against Gambhir that in a pamphlet that was being issued by Gambhir, he had been spreading false, degrading information about her.

With teary eyes, Atishi had said that lakhs of pamphlets were issued by the former cricketer, carrying wrong information projecting her in a bad light, and questioned that with people like Gambhir around, women can't be safe. Gambhir has now responded that if the charges against him are proven, he will hang himself to death in public. He has also sent defamation notice against Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, deputy CM Manish Sisodia and Atishi.
