Cyclone Gaja had a huge impact in South India last year, and heavily affected areas like Nagapatinam, Vedaranyam and many other places, and farmers lost their trees and lands, and the central and state governments had taken measures to help the people affected.

Many celebrities had also offered their help to people affected, and now Superstar Rajnikanth has given houses to 10 families which were affected by Gaja cyclone. They were invited to his Poes Garden residence where they were handed over keys of their new houses.

Last year itself Rajnikanth had donated 50 lakhs for Gaja cyclone relief fund, and his fans from Rajni Makkal Mandram donated a lot and were involved in many relief works. Rajnikath who had recently completed shooting for Darbar will start shooting for his 168th movie by Siva from December.
