Kollywood celebrities including Kamal Haasan, Rajinikanth, Vijay, Vikram, Suriya, Sivakarthikeyan and Vijay Sethupathi have donated generously for the Gaja Cyclone relief works. Among actresses, Kasthuri is very active in mobilizing relief materials and in a press meet she has revealed that she along with her uncle has provided 1000 imported water filters.

According to Kasthuri the water purifier has been designed by her uncle exclusively for usage during natural calamities and has a capacity of processing 3000 litres of water however dirty or contaminated it is. The equipment is apparently easy to use, inexpensive and can be used for up to three years and then can be recycled and made of biodegradable materials. The 'Tamizh Padam 2' actress has also sent in four trucks essentials such as bedsheets, mosquito repellents and tarpaulins.

Kasthuri has also stated that she is leaving to the Delta area tonight and will stay there to participate in the relief works.
