After 'Manu' this year, Tollywood is in for yet another crowd-funded movie. It's titled 'Gaami'. To be made as a classic adventurous thriller, it will be directed by Vidyadhar Kagitha, who has made short films in the past.
Karthik Sabareesh will be one of its producers. "We wanted to make it as a digital film. But as we started working on the subject, we felt it's offering something bigger," the producer says.
The makers are ready with a 186-page script. 'Gaami' will essentially involve 21 primary characters.
Nag Ashwin has thrown his weight behind the film after watching its pitch video. "Very rarely does it happen in Indian cinema that one is excited watching a pitch video. I am impressed with the detailing. I wanted to make my first film ('Yevade Subrahmanyam') on a small budget in mountainous regions. It was hard. 'Gaami' will be even harder," the 'Mahanati' director said.
Those wishing to fund the movie can get the details of the budget, how much will be spent on each schedule, etc.
