For the past few years, G.V. Prakash has been concentrating more on his acting career and has only scored music for his films alone. In 2019 all that has changed and he has accepted Suriya's 'Soorarai Pottru', Dhanush's 'Asuran' and rumoredly Bala's next as well.

Director Vasantha Balan has written an emotional post praising G.V. Prakash after the latter had finished scoring music for the last reel of their upcoming film 'Jail'. He has stated that the extraordinary music that rose from the fingers of GVP has penetrated deep into his heart and will do the same to the audience and fans as well. The intense filmmaker has shared that he felt like getting caught in a magnetic field of music which forced tears from his eyes.

Vasanthabalan has given credit to GVP for enhancing the climax portion of 'Jail' with his music and has let out that he is eagerly waiting to watch the full movie soon. The cast of 'Jail' includes G.V,Prakash, Radhika Sarathkumar, Yogi Babu, Robo Shankar, Anand Babu, Premgi Amaran and Bobby Simha.
