Tweets with Jallikattu hashtags have been flying all around twitter. Celebrities have shown their support and compliance on social media.
However, G.V. Prakash didn't do just that. He was the first Kollywood celebrity to actually participate in a Jallikattu contest, instead of only voicing support through social media. This shows the heights of his love for tradition.
The music composer-cum-actor has physically joined protests held at Chennai Marina and other places including the ones held by college students of SRM and Sathyabama. Now, he has made an open demand to the Prime Minister.
It takes arduous effort to do what this young actor has done. With such great passion for his home soil, he has proved his worth not just as a social figure, but also as an exceptional revolutionary.
Here's his statement.
Pls give our rights back . We want jallikattu every Tamil citizen wants it . U cannot ignore for sure @narendramodi ji
