Salman Khan`s BAJRANGI BHAIJAAN and Sunny Deol`s MOHALLA ASSI both dealing with religious backdrop have once again become throne in the eyes of fundamentalist groups, who had earlier raised hue and cry over Paresh Rawail`s OH MY GOD (OMG) and Aamir Khan`s PK.

Interestingly both OH MY GOD (OMG) and PK were super hits as the films buffs gave thumps up to both the films for exposing the so- called religious leader who bluff the devotees and create differences in the society.

According to reports while the Hindu nationalist group Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and its youth wing Bajrang Dal have objected to the title of Salman Khan`s film BAJRANGI BHAIJAAN citing it hurts Hindu sentiments, on the other hand an FIR has been lodged against actor Sunny Deol, director Chandra Prakash Dwivedi and writer Kasinath Singh claiming their movie MOHALLA ASSI hurt religious sentiments of people.

In reality both BAJRANGI BHAIJAAN and MOHALLA ASSI are hard hitting comment on society. According to filmmaker Kabir Khan, "In BAJRANGI BHAIJAAN, Salman Khan plays a devout Hindu of Lord Hanuman and how he unites a five year old Pakistani girl lost in India. The film is an attempt to bridge communal harmony between India and Pakistan."

Likewise filmmaker Chandraprakash Dwivedi, known for directing the 1991 television epic Chanakya said, "The film MOHALLA ASSI exposes the corruption and loot of the tourist who visit the holy city of Varanasi by the local priest. The film also raises question how the holy city has been reduced to a den of ganja, the ghats turned into a 'picnic spot' and Ganga into a swimming pool"

Thus filmmakers since decades through their movies have voiced their concern against vices and have tried to educate the generation about evils of blind faith and inculcate brotherhood and harmony.

Hence instead of targeting filmmaker, I think fundamentalist groups should attack the likes of fake godmen like Nirmal Baba, Asharam Bapu, Aniruddha 'Bapu', Sant Gurmit Ram Rahim Singh and many more, who in broad day light cheat millions of gullible devotees and loot the national reservoir by evading crores of income tax?
