Full of flavor and fervor

The NRI film genre is a new one in Tollywood. But with the overseas population becoming a viable market for local filmmakers it is but natural that films with NRI flavor and fervor are beginning to be made.
It is also natural that many artistically inclined NRIs are also getting into making films here.
Fourth Dimension Films, got up a group of NRIs, is making Vennela, a soft, candy floss romantic film that will be a mainstream offering with all the sensibilities and sensitivities of an art film.
Director Deva Katta, a new comer, who met the press yesterday, made it clear that he knows his priority. The young director has a passion and penchant for good films. Hopefully, it manifests in his film.
Vennela is a college romance set in American milieu. The director says it is a musical and a soft comedy. Much on the lines of the cult Dil Chahta Hai. The director opines the film's appeal will be in its universality. It will be a refreshing film, he points out.
It was a fact that the film's hero Raja and heroine Pravati Milton (a model turned actress) also harped on.
Raja, who is emerging as the pin-up boy of the uber-urban souls, feels the entire team is pretty charged up in making the film.
He also pointed out at the talent of camera man Raja Rathnam who has worked with Ravi K Verma before.
Parvati, who is also a dancer, has a good role in the film. She is also excited about the whole project.
Actors Ravi Varma and Sharvanand also spoke on this occasion.
The film's overseas schedule is over and the Hyderabad schedule begins today. The film's release is set for November.
