Yashika Aannand met with an accident on East Coast Road near Mababallipuram on Saturday, Her friend Vallichatti Bhavani died on the spot while the others were severely injured. Police sources said that the four were travelling to Chennai in an SUV, and around midnight, the vehicle hit the median and toppled near Sulerikadu.

The deceased, ValliChatti Bhavani is from Hyderabad works as a software engineer in the United States. She is said to have arrived in India about a week ago and joined the get together along with her friends in ECR.

Amid this, the videos of Yashika Aannand driving her car at high speed is doing the rounds on the internet. It is believed to be taken before the accident. In the video, Yashika was seen driving the car at high speed while one of her friends records it.

ValliChatti Bhavani's father said that he still can't believe that his daughter is no more. The police have filed a case against Yashika under two sections of IPC - Section 279 (rash driving or driving on a public way) and Section 304A (causing death by negligence) — and are investigating the accident. Contrary to speculations, the police haven’t booked a case against the actress for drunken driving yet.
