From Sunday, not only will offices and business establishments operate at full capacity, even cinema halls will be reopened, albeit not at full capacity. Will movies start hitting the screens now that theaters can be operated in Telangana? Prasanna Kumar, a key office-holder of the Film Chamber, said that small films will line up for a release in the immediate days and weeks. However, with the night curfew remaining in force in Andhra Pradesh, no notable release might happen for another two weeks.
An even more surprising decision pertains to the reopening of educational institutions such as schools from July 1. The government has instructed the Education Department to prepare guidelines regarding the operation of the institutions. Detailing of physical attendance of students, the continuance of online classes, etc. will be determined in due course of time.
Concerns are going to be raised, especially considering that there are fears that the third wave might target children more.
