Sree Mahesh, who directed Sarath Kumar starrer 'Chathrapathy', is wielding the megaphone for a movie titled 'Malar Melnilaipalli'.

Starring newcomers Prem Nazir and Aashika in lead roles, it is about romance between two students studying in a school. Vadivelu plays an important role in the film.

Produced by K Muthusamy for Devar Good Films, the movie is an action- packed romantic thriller. Says the director, "romance between an outlaw's daughter and her classmate is the crux of the movie. They are chased by goons. Did they unite or not forms the climax".

Campus love stories have always appealed to youngsters. Hopefully 'Malar Melnilaipalli' will attract them, he adds. The rest of the cast includes Ameerkhan, Ilango, Madhan, Adambakkam Sathya among others.

Paulkay handles cinematography while music is by Jerome Pushparaj and editing by Choudhary. Shooting for the movie is on at Chennai, Madurai, Santhamangalam and adjoining areas.
