It is a known fact that Ajay Devgn and Sanjay Dutt have been close friends for over a decade now. Known for extending a helping hand as and when required when it comes to professional as well as personal outings, the duo has constantly worked in each other's home productions. So when 'Rascals' was being planned, Ajay didn't blink an eye when Dutt came calling.

"It was payback time for Ajay," says a close friend of both the actors, "When Ajay had stepped into production with 'Raju Chacha', Sanjay had agreed to do an important guest appearance in the film. Now when Sanju has turned producer, he had Ajay in mind for a parallel lead in this comic entertainer. Even though Ajay has been keeping quite busy with multiple assignments, he readily stepped into 'Rascals'."

This isn't the first time though that the duo has shared screen space. Even earlier they have been seen in films like 'All The Best', 'Mehbooba' and 'Tango Charlie' amongst others. This isn't all as Dutt even gave voiceover for Ajay's 'Toonpur Ka Superrhero'. Moreover their association with David Dhawan has only moved into the second phase after they came together first in 'Hum Kisi Se Kum Nahin'.

"The fact that Ajay and Sanju are such good friends is the best part of 'Rascals'," says Dhawan who is quite happy with the way his comedy has shaped up, "When two actors have great rapport between them, it always shows on screen. The entire give and take between Ajay and Sanju is what brings maximum laughter in the film."

With Arjun Rampal in a special role, Kangna Ranaut as the leading lady and also featuring Chunky Pandey and Satish Kaushik, 'Rascals' releases all over this Dussehra on 6th October.
