Adhir Ranjan Chaudhary, the Congress leader and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, has today condemned the "silence" of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on rape incidents taking place in India. Modi hasn't spoken on issues like Disha that have rocked the conscience of the country in recent days.
"It's unfortunate that the Prime Minister, who speaks on everything, is silent on the crimes against women. From 'make in India', our country is slowly heading towards 'rape in India'," Chaudhary said.
This comment by the Congress leader comes days after Rahul Gandhi stated in Kerala's Wayanad that India is the world's rape capital.
