“From Aryabhatta to Sundar Pichai, we have such extraordinary stories." - R Madhavan

Popular actor R Madhavan will soon be seen in his long awaited biographical drama 'Rocketry: The Nambi Effect' which is based on the life of controversial aerospace engineer Nambi Narayanan. The film recently had its premiere at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival and on the ocassion, Madhavan talked about how important it is for Indian cinema to tell such stories.

The actor stated that Indian filmmakers should strive to make movies on inspiring real life stories of people like Aryabhatta and Sundar Pichai. Madhavan said, “From Aryabhatta to Sundar Pichai, we have such extraordinary stories as far as science and technology is concerned. We are not making movies about these people. These people are the aspirations for the youngsters around the world. They have bigger fans than stars and actors put together.

He further added, “You have these guys from Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh that I’ve met who started this new Metaverse, who are into web 3.0… We’re not making movies about such success stories.
