Actor Nakul Thampi from the Malayalam film industry, known for acting in the recently released Mammootty, Arya, Prithviraj starrer, Shankar Ramakrishnan directed Pathinettam Padi has been fighting for his life, for the past one month after being admitted in a hospital in Madurai.

Nakul Thampi had become popular with his performances in dance reality shows, and had played the character named Sony in Pathinettam Padi. After his performance in the movie, he had been receiving many offers. On January 5, he was on his way to Trivandrum with his friend Adithya in a car.

While their car was near Madurai, their car hit a private bus, and both Adithyan and Nakul were admitted to a hospital in Madurai. Adithyan has been discharged after receiving treatment, but Nakul Thampi who has suffered brain injury, dislocations and fractures has been critical in ICU, and with his condition requiring surgery within few days, his friends and celebrities have been requesting people to help by providing financial support for his treatment.
