This Friday is also not an exciting weekend for movie lovers but for one movie. All the films releasing this weekend were in the cans for long period and their sudden releases is surprising. February month may be the starter for the year as a few anticipated films are lined up for release.
Five films are releasing this weekend out of which three are straight films and two are dubbed ones. Pathinaru, Vaada Poda Nanbargal and Pazhagiyathe Pirivatharka are for the first list. Idhu Enga Boomi and the Green Hornet are for the later.
The story line is this. Shiva and Madhu love each other and when their love fails to get parental consent the young pair decides to elope. When the parents come to know of that they relent and accept but not before testing the lovers for their determination in an inimitable way.
The title may give an impression that this is a candy floss love story. But it is said to be an unusual romantic story with a different angle and a unique twist.
Kalaipuli S Thanu is releasing the film and that shows ÂPathinaru is not a run of the mill stuff. More over there is the biggest attraction of Yuvan Shankar Raja who has created some signature tunes for the film.
Produced by Singapore Arumaichandran under the banner Eight Point Entertainment, ÂVaada Poda Nanbargal is directed by debutante Manigai. The music director Siddharth is also a new. This film was in the news recently when the censor board objected to a song that talks about the plights of Tamils who leave their home for hard labour to states like Rajastan.
The Green Hornet is a superhero action-comedy film, based on the character of the same name that has appeared in comic books. Directed by Michel Gondry, the film stars Seth Rogen, Cameron Diaz and others. This film also comes in 3D version.
Next week ÂYudham Sei and ÂThoonga Nagaram is expected to wake up the market.
