It has not been a fiesta on Fridays ever since the music launch of ‘Endhiran’ happened and guessing games started for the release date of the film. The industry made decisions slowly and calculative. Finally putting everything behind the big day has come.

Theatre owners are forced to run through this week with whatever they can do. One story last week claimed the release of ‘Endhiran’ was pushed to October 1 from September 24, because of ‘Boss Engira Baskaran’ is doing so well. What ever it may be ‘BEB’ is declared a super hit and has retained all the theatres. ‘Madrasapattinam’ and ‘Naan Mahaan Alla’ still hold on and will be there for another week till October 1.

So there is nothing for this Friday except a dubbed movie ‘Singa Vettai’. It is dubbed from the Telugu movie ‘Kedi’. It’s a template action from Nagarjuna directed by Kiran Kumar. Mamtha Mohandas are Sayaji Shinde some known names in the film. Anushka Shetty is there in an item number.

Next Friday is going to be a watershed day in the history of Tamil cinema. The million dollar ‘Endhiran’ will hit screens worldwide in three languages. The costliest film ever in Indian cinema is expected to break and create many records.

‘Endhiran’ will be releasing world wide with 2250 prints and in over 3000 screens. If you thought the craze for the film in India, the first week advance booking for all the three versions were sold within a time span of just ten minutes in US.

The most expensive film in Indian film history will be released in India, North America. Europe and South East Asia. How ever Rajini fans in Japan may have to wait for some more time as ‘Endhiran’ will not have a simultaneous release there.

Peter Hein and Yuen Woo Ping who designed action scenes for films like The Matrix, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, Stan Winston Studios which handled visual effects for iconic films like Aliens, Terminator 2 and Jurassic Park, Cinematography of Rathnavelu, Editing by Anthony Dance choreography by Raju Sundaram and Claudia Bruckmann, Special effects by Industrial Light & Magic that handled the special effects for films like Avatar, Star Wars, and Titanic. Then there is Director Shankar, Oscar Winner A R Rahman, Resul Pookutty. The names that are associated with ‘Endhiran’ are best in the business in the world today.
