Actor John Abraham, who is currently awaiting the release of his upcoming thriller flick 'Ek Villain Returns' has kickstarted the shoot of his geo political thriller 'Tehran'. Production house Maddock Films recently took to their Twitter outlet to share the news along with the first look poster of John's character.

The poster featured an intense portrait of John superimposed with a map of Tehran. The tweet read, "Lights. Camera. Time for some ACTION! #Tehran shoot begins. Starring @TheJohnAbraham. Talking about this film, John earlier said, "If you’re invested in the Russia-Ukraine crisis, wonder what China is doing, what Iran is doing, where does Palestine fit in this whole thing, Tehran is about all of this. It’s a stunning film."

Penned by Ritesh Shah and Ashish Prakash Verma, 'Tehran' will mark the directorial debut of Arun Gopalan.
