Top music director Harris Jayaraj`s new music album for the Udhayanidhi Stalin-Amy Jackson starrer Gethu` has released yesterday and it is already trending in social media. The film has been directed by Thirukumaran of Maan Karate` fame and he is a former associate of director A.R.Murugadoss.
Speaking at the press meet of the film held on Friday, Harris revealed some interesting details about the music of the film.
"When I was busy working for another film Thirukumaran narrated this story. I asked why he prefers my music for this film. He said two things. One is it was his long-time dream to work with me. He felt that his vision can be conveyed better with my music. Cinema is a visual communication and music is vital to convey certain emotions in a film. I know him since Ghajini` days. During Thuppakki` he was with me throughout the process. After listening to the script I felt the film will be on the lines of Ghajini` and Thuppakki`. Not just in grandeur but it will be as thrilling as the two blockbuster films. You cannot guess the next scene. I am very happy to be a part of this film.
Harris has used something unique in Gethu` music album and he revealed how it happened.
"The USP of this film is we have used new lyricists have been introduced. Except Thamarai, all other lyricist who have worked in this film are new. When I did Minnale` I made two three singers sing one song. This time I have tried multiple lyricist for one song. I have used four lyricist for a particular song in this film. Everyone sat together and wrote the song setting aside their egos. Hats off to you all. Out of five songs in the film four are for situation narrated by the director. Another one is suggested by Shenbagamoorthy (one of the producers of the film). He wanted a song like Dangamari effect. So we have made Rokesh to write a song."
The composer who started this year with Yennai Arindhaal`, further revealed that Gethu` will be releasing on Pongal he has already started working on Re-recording.
