The Kannada cinema industry bagged four national awards - three for films - Bettada Jeeva, Hejjegalu and Puttakkana Highway and one for best critic award to Manu Chakravarthy.

Prakash Raj Duet Movies joint production with Media House Studio 'Puttakkana High Way' bagged the best regional award.

THE LIST OF AWARDS - Best Environenment, conservation presentation - Bettada Jeeva, director - P Seshadri, producer - Basanthkumar Patil - Rs.1,50 lakh and Swarna Kamal each.

Best Children film - 'Hejjegalu' - Direction - PR Ramdas Naidu, producer Basanthkumar Patil - Rs.1.50 lakh and Swarana Kamal each.

Best regional cinema - Puttakkana High Way - Direction - B Suresha, Producers - Prakash Raj, Shylaja Nag.

The best critic award - Manu Chakravarthy shares with Joy Joseph - Swarna Kamal and Rs.37500 each.
