It was a pleasant surprise for the White House journalists as they found a lustrous, new espresso machine waiting for them on Thursday morning. A note left along with it read, "To the Press Corps. Keep up the good fight for Truth, Justice and American Way". The gift was from Hollywood Actor Tom Hanks, who had dropped by to gesture the reporters for their much needed work.

The isn't the first time that Hanks has acknowledged the Press. As a matter of fact, the 60 year old had gifted a coffee machine twice before: once in 2004, and again in 2010. The actor, who is an outspoken critic of the current US President Donald Trump had also publicly endorsed support to Hillary. Tom's gift comes after Trump antagonized the media by calling them the 'enemy of the people'.
