Prime Minister Narendra Modi had a one-to-one chat with former U.S. President Barack Obama was in New Delhi yesterday to attend a function related to Obama Foundation.

Obama, who had a healthy and enterprising relationship with India in general and Modi in particular, had come to New Delhi to take part in an event organized by his Obama Foundation. The event has youths as the target audiences as it has been devising programmes to attract them in huge numbers.

For the past 10 days, the Foundation has been busy on social networking sites, releasing many advertisements and promotional videos ahead of the New Delhi event. After taking part in the event, Barak Obama met Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the latter’s office. It may be noted that the leaders had met many a time during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s tenure as Prime Minister.

In fact, Obama was the guest of honour during the 2015 Republic Day celebrations. A press communiqué released after the Modi-Obama meeting said that Obama discussed with the Indian Premier the objectives of his Foundation and the need to involve more and more Indian youths in the initiatives to be undertaken by the Foundation.
