Former RAW Additional Secretary Jayadeva Ranade has opined that China has been making a series of military moves in the past few days along the Line of Actual Control. Although he didn't say it explicitly, it can be deduced from his words that China is preparing for a war with India.
"I am not sanguine about what is happening," he has told India Today TV, giving his reasons to think that China is putting India "under sustained military pressure".
"By shifting the areas of confrontation along the LAC they will stretch our troops (deployment) and will tire them out before doing something somewhere else," the channel has quoted the former RAW mind as saying. He is considered an expert on China and has revealed that China has already cut telecommunication links "Tibetans there (Rudok County) and Tibetans outside".
Indian Army is reported to be fully prepared for the anticipated onslaught.
