Ever since filmmaker Nadirsha announced his upcoming directorial 'Eesho', the movie's title had sparked controversies among the Christian community. They protested against the title and its tagline "‘Not From the Bible". However, last week the director himself confirmed that he has no plans to change the title and clarified that the title refers to the movie's protagonist's character name and that it has nothing to do with Bible or the Christian community. He also said that he was ready to face any punishment after the movie's release if anyone finds it to hurt the religious sentiments. Later, the makers of the movie had also removed the tagline.
A day ago, Kerala Janapaksham leader and ex-MLA PC George ashed out at the makers of the movie over the title and warned that he would not allow releasing the movie. He added that he would campaign against the movie across the state of Kerala. He also accused the filmmakers of defaming the Christian community by creating negative characters with a Christian name. Well, the makers of the movie are yet to respond to PC George.
Touted to be a thriller, the movie is helmed by Nadirshah, who is also on board as the composer for the movie. Actor Jafer Idduki will be seen in an important role in the film. Eesho has its story, dialogues, and script by Suneesh Varanad. Although Nadirshah will be composing the songs, Jakes Bejoy will be taking care of the background music for the project. Nadirshah, who made his directorial debut with the 2015 Malayalam film Amar Akbar Anthony, is also currently working on the upcoming Malayalam movie 'Keshu Ee Veedinte Nadhan,' featuring Dileep and Urvashi in the lead.
