Shobhana George, the vice chairperson of Kerala Khadi and Village Industries Board and former MLA has turned a model. Well, Shobana took up acting in advertisements as she was left with no other option.
Shobana, who had represented Chengannur constituency thrice before, says that they had approached several celebs to endorse and act in ad films promoting khadi dresses. But their remuneration was unaffordable for the Khadi board. She says that some celebs demanded Rs 20 lakh while some others asked Rs 5 lakh for each change of dress.
After 2 years of struggle, they couldn't rope in any celebs. It was then some of her social media friends suggested her to act by herself. Thus the board decided to shoot with Shobhana, who is all excited about her new journey.
