A bunch of upcoming Tamil titles has been queuing up for the theatrical release as the TN government allowed the movie halls to begin functioning from this week. One of the movies that lined up to hit the screens is the former Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh's debut Tamil venture 'Friendship'.
With Bigg Boss fame Losliya playing the female lead, Action King Arjun will also be seen in a crucial role in Friendship. With the restrictions on theatre opening lifted, 'Friendship' is all set to finally hit the screens. The makers have now confirmed that the film will release in theatres in September although there was a buzz earlier that the film might release on a popular OTT platform.
Friendship is directed by John Paul Raj and Sham Suriya who earlier helmed 'Chennaiyil Oru Naal 2', also has comedy actor Sathish playing Harbhajan's friend. An official announcement regarding the movie's release date is expected to be made soon. The teaser of the film earlier revealed that Harbhajan Singh and Sathish playing two college students who are best friends.
Friendship is jointly produced by Seantoaa Films, in association with Cinemass Studio. While Losliya was seen as a joyful character, Arjun's role looked like a mysterious baddie. DM Udhayakumar is scoring music and Santha Kumar cranks the camera. Deepak S Dwaraknath takes care of the editing of the film.
