Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan welcomes his second baby; Shares picture

Former Indian all-rounder Irfan Pathan and his wife Safa Baig welcomed their second child, a baby boy, on Tuesday. The cricketer shared the news on social media alongside a picture of himself holding the newborn.

“Safa and I welcome our baby boy Suleiman Khan. Both baby and mother are fine and healthy,” Irfan Pathan wrote on his Twitter and Instagram handles. The all-rounder, who tied the knot with model Safa Baig on February 4 2016, in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, welcomed his first son, Imran Khan Pathan, in December 2016. Pathan, who announced his retirement from all forms of cricket in January 2020, last played for India in October 2012.

The all-rounder featured in 29 Tests, where he scored a total of 1105 runs and 100 wickets, in 120 ODIs, earning 1544 runs and 173 wickets, and in 24 T20Is, scoring 172 runs and 28 wickets. Reacting to the news of Irfan Pathan’s son’s birth, Sachin Tendulkar wrote, “That’s wonderful news @IrfanPathan. My best wishes to you and your family. Much love to the little one.”
