Former Telangana Chief Minister and BRS leader K Chandrashekhar Rao found himself in Yashoda Hospital, Hyderabad’s Somajiguda, following an accidental fall. This incident occurred shortly after his party, BRS, faced a significant defeat, securing 39 out of 119 assembly seats in the election against rival Congress.

K Chandrashekhar Rao, the former Chief Minister of Telangana and leader of Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), was admitted to a private hospital on Friday morning following a slip and fall at his farmhouse around 2:30 am.

A BRS party leader, closely associated with the family, reassured that despite suffering a hairline fracture, Rao is otherwise in good health. A source shared “He suffered a hairline fracture. Otherwise he is well,” a BRS party leader close to the family said.

Following KCR's accidental fall , his supporters and BRS leaders started worrying and rushing to the Yashoda hospital. They are praying for the speedy recovery of KCR.

Despite KCR's personal victory in Gajwel, defeating BJP leader Eatala Rajender, he suffered a loss in Kamareddy. Admitted to a private hospital with a hairline fracture in his left hip, KCR is currently stable but undergoing treatment.

KCR's ambition for a hat-trick as South India's chief minister was dashed as Congress clinched a landslide victory in the Telangana Assembly polls, marking the third election since the state's formation.

In the election results, Congress secured 64 seats, surpassing BRS's 39. Reports attribute KCR's defeat to overconfidence, as voters opposed local MLAs despite their favorable opinion of him and his government.

BRS working president KT Rama Rao acknowledged advising KCR to field new faces for a potential win of 100 seats, contrasting the outcome that highlighted KCR's error in sticking with incumbent MLAs.

Following Congress's victory, Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee chief Revanth Reddy took oath as the state's chief minister at Lal Bahadur Stadium in Hyderabad on Thursday.
