Former Bigg Boss Malayalam contestant and anchor Alina Padikkal tested positive for COVID-19. Taking to her social media handle, Alina informed her fans. "Hello, family. Well, I have tested COVID-19 positive. From today with mild symptoms. But, don't worry and safe and have been home self-quarantine for the past two-three days. And am following all the protocols and medications from my doctor and health department. And yes my family is also safe. Take care. Stay safe and healthy," reads her Instagram post.

The anchor-turned-actress became a household name with her performance as Nayana in the serial Bharya. Later, she shot to fame with her stint in Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 2. She was also the host of several popular TV shows like 'D 4 Dance', 'Comedy Circus' and more.

Recently, amid lockdown, Alina got engaged to her long-term boyfriend Rohit. The couple is expected to tie the knot soon.
