Presently in post-production, Megastar Chiranjeevi-starrer Syeraa Narasimha Reddy boasts of many spectacular action pieces but one particular sequence—filmed in surrounding areas of Athirappilly waterfalls, Kerala for four days sometime back —saw the Megastar and Tamil sensation Vijay Sethupathi join hands and hunt in pair. The sequence was spread over four days at the spot, a thick jungle, with Chiru participating in the shoot all four days while Sethupathi was there for a couple of days. Chiru who plays the titular role and Sethupathi who will be seen as a Tamil-speaking character Raaja Paandi were spotted battling British troops in the brief schedule. Noted action choreographer Vijay supervised the whole sequence.
Portions involving Chiru’s aides Brahmaji, Charandeep and Co. killing their enemies by hiding under water too were filmed. A brief spell of light rain threatened to play spoilsport but director Surender Reddy continued to shoot, believing the rain will lend more authenticity to the sequence. Chiru and Sethupathi had no issues as such and continued with the shoot. The most ambitious film of megastar’s career, Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, produced by Ram Charan, will fly into the cinema halls on October 2.
