It is already reported that the GST percent on food beverages is reduced to 5% from 18%. But there is a twist in the tale.
Reportedly, CBIC chairman Vivek said that the offers is applicable only if food is purchased separately in the cinemas. Instead of the food is pre-booked than it will not come under 5% tax assumption.
He also suggested the movie lovers to follow the above guidelines to enjoy food at the cinema halls at 5% GST or else have to pay GST for the entire package for 18% GST.
