After a stupendous success in Ben Johnson, a lot was expected from Kalabhavan Mani in Lokanathan IPS. Unfortunately the movie turned out to be a damp squib and flopped miserably.

Though Kalabhavan is currently acting in a couple of movies in Malayalam, he seems to have shifted his focus temporarily to Kollywood. He awaits the release of his Tamil movie Pasaakiligal, which is slated to hit theatres on Sankranthi day.

The movie has Navya Nair, Prabhu and Malavika in the cast and interestingly the dialogues and screenplay are by DMK chief M Karunanidhi.

Asked whether he had taken a decision to stay away from Malayalam movies for now, Mani said, ‘though I am doing films in Tamil, Telugu and Kannada, my heart and mind are in Malayalam. It is Malayalam that made me and I will continue to do good films here.'

Keen to do various roles and win accolades from masses is Kalabhavan.
