E-Commerce giant Flipkart has quietly launched its grocery delivery services in India. Named as "Supermart", the mobile app is now available to prototype customers and is expected to expand very soon. It is to be noted that Flipkart earlier in 2015 had launched a similar venture "Nearby" for grocery delivery, however it did not take off as expected. With this launch Flipkart is looking to take on e-commerce giants Amazon and Paytm who are actively pursuing options. Flipkart will have a separate line of supply for its grocery venture and is expected to expand across all metros before targeting tier 2 cities.
