Now the new body of administration that has taken charge has started investigating the matter relating to the purchase of a property worth Rs.1.5 crores by the previous office bearers.
The outgoing President R.Sarathkumar has submitted the books of accounts and audit to the new administrators as promised earlier. The new body of administrators lead by the President Nasser and General Secretary Vishal have started checking them.
It was apparently found that a few years ago a flat in Habibullah Road, T.Nagar was purchased by paying Rs.1.5 crores for the use of Nadigar Sangam. The flat's current net worth is reportedly more than Rs.2 crores. The administration has started inquiring into what happened to that flat and who is owning that now.
Sarathkumar had announced that the contentious agreement entered with SPI CInemas to build a mall in the 18 ground land owned by Sangam has been cancelled. The new office-bearers have started checking that also. Documents are being scrutinized and inquiries with the registration department have started to ascertain whether the cancellation has been done properly.
