With many of the releases in the last seven weeks of this year falling like pack of cards this week 25th February there are five Kannada films set for release. Out of five Karthik, Gun, Aptha are notable ones while ‘Take it Easy’ is a quick film and ‘Saacha’ is from the cans staying over two years.

The Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce that exercised control in the last week and allowed only three films has left a free hand this week. Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce is known for such relaxations.

A few of the five releases are coming in theatres meant for second run theatres is what disgusting for the producers. Take a look at the brief report on all the five films.

Karthik – Mumbai producers banking on the action image of macho youngster Karthik Shetty has made this film. This is the second film of Karthik Shetty after ‘Yuva’. There are some stunning action scenes in this film for Karthik who has learnt martial arts for the film purpose. Archana Gupta is his counterpart. Avinash, Sudha Belawadi, Raj Purohit, Sunil Kuri, Venugopal Shetty are also in the cast. Yashodha Movietone has produced the film. Story, screenplay and direction are by Satish Shetty. John Warki is the music director and Manjunath is the cameraman.

Gun – Very talented actor Harish Raj with a good standing who became director from ‘Kalaakar’ is his trying his hands like Ramesh Aravind. Harish Raj has acted, directed and also part of the Nishanth Productions Murali in this film. A gun left untouched in the public place is the cause of curiosity. With that theme Harish Raj makes it very captivating on screen with lovely songs and heroines. Mallika Kapoor, Nikitha as heroines and Kiran Rathod and Rachana Mourya as item dancers. Rangayana Raghu, Sundarasri, Sangeetha, Mohan Juneja, PN Sathya, Bullet Prakash are in the cast. HM Ramachandra and KM Vishnuvardhana are the cameraman. Ravi Raphel has scored the music.

Aptha – The third interesting film of this week because of star cast is ‘Aptha’ of Yashaswini Enterprises produced by Dharmalingam and Sanjeev Kumar Megoti. Sanjeev Kumar is also the director of this film. Pooja Gandhi, Pragna, Manasi, Bhavyakala, Neeraj Sham, Sadhu Kokila, Ravi Kiran, Bullet Prakash, Santosh Balaji are in the cast. PS Babu is the cameraman and Skar Mario has scored the music.

Take It Easy – the film is interesting only because of an actor like Ananthnag. This is shot in 16 days by Rihan Enterprises and the purpose of releasing this film like ‘Saacha’ is for claiming the subsidy from the government of Karnataka it is very much evident. Ananthn Padmanabh who directed ‘Nishedhagne’ Kannada film is the director. NM Krupakar has scored the music and Shanker is the cameraman. Shashikumar, Abijit, Adhi Lokesh, Sanjaana, Shruthi, Chitra Shenoy is in the cast.

Saacha – Already forgotten film is point to be noted because of the famous Hindustani classical musician Pandit Parameshwara Hegde scoring the music and Vasundhara Das singing in this film. S Madesh Meena is the producer. Issac Baaji is the director and for the first time music. Vickey brother of this film producer Mahadev (who passed away last year) is the hero with Divya Sridhar in the cast.
