It's said that a family is blessed in every way if it produces even one civil servant with a secure and lucrative administrative job. A family in Rajasthan has five sisters serving the administrative service. It's as if the Rajasthan Administrative Service's inner voice says, "I exist to take a steady stream of civil servants from your family."
The five sisters are from the family of Sahdev Saharan, a farmer from Hanumangarh. While the father is barely a school pass-out, their mother never went to school. But their five daughters have cracked the civil services exam over the years.
Anshu, Reetu, and Suman have got admitted into the administrative service in recent years. The other two have been in the RAS for several years. Sharing the news on Twitter, an IFS officer tweeted, "Such a piece of good news. Anshu, Reetu, and Suman are three sisters from Hanumangarh, Rajasthan. Today all three got selected in RAS together. Making father & family proud."
