Abhishek Kapoor`s screen adaptation of 'Great Expectations', 'Fitoor' has started on with its first shooting schedule over the weekend in Kashmir. Interestingly the first day of shoot fell on lead hero Aditya Roy Kapur`s birthday (16th Nov). And the director felt it to be an auspicious start.

Initially the team had thought of changing the shooting location owing to the recent floods in Kashmir. Fortunately things turned out to be well and they continued with their plans to shoot in this Heaven on Earth`. According to Abhishek, Kashmir is integral part of Fitoor`. "The breathtaking beauty of the Valley will help bring out the nuances in the story as it intertwines with the plot to form the perfect backdrop," stated Abhishek in an interview, who also claims Kashmir to be his muse.

The other lead actors - Rekha and Katrina Kaif - are expected to join the team shortly.
