As the release news of the first song from Diljit Dosanjh and Taapse Pannu’s ‘Soorma’ was in buzz, the much awaited romantic track ‘Ishq Di Baajiyaan’ dropped in today. The actor who is playing the role of the hockey player Sandeep Singh aka Flicker Singh has crooned for the song and the track is sure to fall in love with him again and again.

Penned by the veteran lyricist Gulzar and composed by the amazing trio Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, ‘Ishq Di Baajiyaan’ portrays the romance between Diljit and Taapsee at its best. It has a beautiful dose of inspiration and simplicity. They have a perfect  chemistry with Taapse taking the lead in their relationship.

“I am really thankful to Shaad Ali for this opportunity to sing in this film. I recently did a show with Shankar ji and I used to hear a lot his songs that he has composed in the past. Through this film, meeting Gulzar sahab was a great thing for me because I never had any contacts to get through him. To sing a song which is written by Gulzar and music of Shankar Ehsaan Loy is a big thing for me,” said Diljit in a statement.

Directed by Shaad Ali and produced by Sony Pictures Networks Productions, Chitrangda Singh and Deepak Singh, ‘Soorma’  is slated to release on July 13 this year.
